Sunday 15 October 2017 – 8:30am to 4:00pm – Hou Wang Chinese Temple, Atherton
2017 sees some changes to the layout of the main Festival day. The Entertainment Stage will now be located in the Food Court area, with the large marquee with plenty of seating adjacent to it.
A Cookery Stage will be introduced in the open grassed area around the Gourmet Lane. This will house cooking demonstrations as well as several competitions. A new student competition will comprise small teams competing in a Mystery Box format in heats over the day with a final held in the afternoon. Interspersed will be a ‘Celebrity Cook-Off’ competition, which will see local well-known identities from across the Tablelands compete in a no-holds barred race to be crowned ‘Celebrity Cook’. Both competitions will be hard fought, fast moving and entertaining.
Rotary Tastes of the Tablelands showcases the diversity of the Tablelands region, with a variety of products, such as:
- Locally grown and roasted coffee
- Tropical and boutique wines
- Ice creams packed with local flavours
- Cakes and slices
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
- And much more!
This is more than just another market – plan to spend a relaxing Sunday enjoying the ambiance and numerous activities provided!
